Cogniva contains several scientifically validated ingredients which all act uniquely at different sites in brain tissue. Two of the areas that are focused on are the “neurons” and “synapses”.

Syna-PS50 is Immunotec's unique and proprietary (trademarked) blend of scientifically researched ingredients that includes phosphatidylserine (PS).

Phosphatidylserine has been studied extensively for its role in memory and cognition, and has been shown to have a positive effect on attributes such as memory recognition, memory recall, executive functions, and mental flexibility.

The 50 represents the 50 mg of phosphatidylserine included in the formula.

Executive functions are a set of cognitive processes, including attention, focus, control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility, as well as reasoning, problem solving, and planning.

The caffeine in Cogniva comes from green tea. It is microencapsulated. It is absorbed and released slower into the body than standard caffeine supplements or coffee.

If side effects occur, they are most likely to be as a result of caffeine ingestion.

This includes difficulty sleeping (if product is taken late in the day), anxiety (in caffeine-sensitive individuals), and palpitations (in caffeine-sensitive individuals). If side effects are experienced, please stop using Cogniva. These side effects may be more common in those who are already ingesting different forms of caffeine. Side effects are expected to abate within hours.

The recommended dose is one chew per day. More than that increases the risk of side effects.

Cogniva can be taken at any time during the day except for those individuals who find that caffeine intake disrupts their sleep. In this case, try to take Cogniva before 3pm.
