A major issue concerning fish is their high levels of toxic heavy metals, especially mercury.
Generally doses of between 500 mg and 2,400 mg are commonly used. More precise measurements would be made depending on a person's state of health and nutrition.
High quality, cold-pressed Peruvian fish oil is used in Immunotec's Omega-3 product. It is extracted from anchovies, mackerel and sardines.
Using high pressure, the crude oil is extracted at temperatures below -10 to -20°C; this helps to preserve the integrity of the ingredients.

Piperine is derived from the pepper plant. It is used here for its ability to enhance the effects of CoQ10 and Turmeric.
An opaque bottle has been used to protect the capsules from direct sunlight. Preserve product freshness by ensuring that the cap is closed between each use. Store in a cool, dry place. Capsules may change color with time or between batches. Shelf life is 24 months.
The coloring is attributed to the presence of Turmeric in the product. Aside from its beneficial properties, turmeric is currently used in North America as a coloring agent in mustard.
An enteric coating is a barrier applied to the surface of the soft gel which controls the location in the digestive system where the active ingredients will be released.
The enteric coating on the Omega-3 soft gels have been modified in order to be more efficient in reducing the fishy aftertaste which occasionally occurs.
